    WHAT’S THE JOB?

    The Laundry Room Attendant is responsible for the efficient, hygienic processing of all facility laundry at a world‑class Dexterra camp facility. This includes operating commercial laundry equipment to wash, dry, fold, and store linens and uniforms used across the site.

    Laundry processed in this role includes:

    • Bed linens (sheets, pillowcases, blankets)
    • Towels and washcloths
    • Staff and site uniforms

    Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Laundry Room Attendant plays a critical role in supporting housekeeping operations and ensuring clean, ready‑to‑use linens are consistently available.

    This position is safety sensitive and requires drug, alcohol, and fit‑to‑work testing as a condition of employment.

    YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE

    • Collecting, sorting, and processing laundry from across the facility
    • Operating commercial washers and dryers according to established procedures
    • Washing, drying, folding, and organizing:
      • Bed linens
      • Towels and washcloths
      • Uniforms
    • Ensuring proper laundry separation to prevent cross‑contamination
    • Folding and storing clean laundry in designated storage areas
    • Maintaining accurate counts and tracking of linens as required
    • Cleaning lint traps, machines, and laundry work areas regularly
    • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the laundry room
    • Reporting equipment malfunctions, damage, or maintenance needs to supervision
    • Following all safety procedures
    • Assisting housekeeping teams with linen distribution as required
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    • Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning preferred
    • Experience operating commercial laundry equipment is an asset
    • Knowledge of proper laundry handling, hygiene, and safety practices
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong attention to detail and organization
    • Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 35–50 pounds
    • Willingness to follow all safety and infection‑control procedures
