    Laurel Ag & Water is looking for a self-motivated, exceptional Foreman/Crew Leader. As a key member of the construction team, the Foreman will be part of our construction operations, including underground installation. Laurel is looking for a strong hands-on Foreman/Crew Leader with a proven track record of dependability and embraces growth and chance. This role will report to the Construction Manager.

    This person will be passionate about understanding our customer's. The Foreman/Crew Leader is expected to be a team player that lives Laurel's cultural values, sets an example for others, constantly enhances the culture and has strong communication skills.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Supervise Construction Team
      • o Manage on-site construction crew (Operators, Valve Tech, Installer and/or subcontract labor)
    • Responsible for timekeeping of crews
    • Responsible for job site safety, heat stroke prevention and all other OSHA related requirements
    • Construction Project Oversight and Completeness
      • o Install projects in accordance with plans and details
    • Install valves, filters, basic automation components and junctions per design detail
    • Repair valves, filters, basic automation components and junctions for basic service calls
    • Perform basic install labor including:
      • o Operate Heavy Equipment
    • Spreading parts
    • Gluing and stringing pipe
    • Basic shovel work and job site prep
    • Checking trench/pipe depth
    • Job site clean-up
    • Work with Other Teams
      • Communicate to underground manager on progress of job, any unforeseen issues that arise, and any potential changes to job scope not in plans and details
      • Works with Office Construction and Admin staff to coordinate travel logistics for out-of-town projects

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED

    • Proven ability to work in team environment inside and outside of department
    • Proven ability to set the tone and build trust throughout the organization
    • High energy, hungry to win, approachable, analytical
    • Willingness to travel (20-40% depending on location)
    • Clean DMV record
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills
    • Ability to professionally communicate with customers, peers, and leaders
    • Detail oriented & capable of understanding project details
    • Dependable and Ability to work independently and be able to act in a self-directed manner without immediate supervision.
    • Proven ability to work in team environment inside and outside of department
    • High energy, hungry to win, approachable, analytical
    • Must have moderate computer skills and Microsoft Office, including email and ERP.
    • Ability to safely climb, stand, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel and routinely lift objects more than 50lbs.
    • Experience in Ag irrigation or construction
