    PURCHASER SUMMARY

    Laurel Ag & Water is looking for a self-motivated, exceptional Purchaser. As a key member of the Procurement and Supply Chain team, the Purchaser will help in all aspects of purchasing to deliver uninterrupted flow of services and materials for Laurel.  Laurel is looking for a strong hands-on, experienced Purchaser. This role will report to the Manager of Purchasing

    This person will be passionate about understanding our customer's needs and creating solutions that maximize our performance at Laurel. The Purchaser is expected to be a team player that lives Laurel's cultural values and sets an example for others to constantly enhance the culture. They should have strong communication skills to inspire others in their role as a peer and team builders.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Deliver value to the organization by ensuring uninterrupted flow of services and materials through effective communication
    • Provide responsive and effective support to team on project status with parts and materials
    • Comply with and uphold procurement guidelines and standard procedures
    • Responsible for project-specific order management, including (but not limited to) processing purchase orders, updating pricing, ETA's and delivery confirmation
    • Responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with Laurel Ag & Water vendors
    • Provide Director of Procurement and Purchasing Manager cost analysis on like items from different vendors
    • Works cross functionally with other departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED

    • Three (3) years' experience in purchasing/inventory or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Proven ability to work in team environment inside and outside of department
    • Proven ability to set the tone and build trust throughout the organization
    • High energy, hungry to win, approachable, analytical
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP savvy
    • Problem solving skills and ability to in fast paced environments
    • Coachable and Teachable
    • Work independently and in group settings, on site and remotely
    • Effective time management skills
