Hello, We are a small family with both working parents that live in Cary just off US1 near WakeMed Cary approximately 8mi from NC State (14 min drive). We have an 8yr old daughter and 4yr old son - both are wonderful children and attend school. Mom works from home, dad works at office. We are both Vaccinated. Both kids are high functioning and quite self sufficient - but they certainly both demand attention in their own way. Daughter loves art, son loves cars, jeeps and trucks and has recently discovered coloring. Daughter is actually quite capable with her studies. We could use a little help with a few things: 1. Pick up from School - Son gets picked up at 3pm'ish, Daughter gets picked up 3:15ish - their schools are 4mi apart (10min drive) and then home is 3.4mi or (7min). 2. Hang out with the kids - homework, snacks, arts and crafts, play outside, etc. Our daughter brings home a folder from school everyday with her assignments and she's quite self sufficient - but flash cards and helping out for various assignments would be great. So a little support with homework would be awesome. She's smart, fun and really sweet, loves arts and crafts, science and becoming quite a social butterfly - its fun hearing her recap the drama of her day at school.. Our son doesn't get homework - he just loves playing with his toy cars and coloring or just having a good time - he's a kidder and lots of fun to hang out with. He's just at the point he's speaking a lot and pretty articulate and says a lot of funny things. Nice kid - very cute 4yr old. We have tons of snacks and they can communicate what they want - we just want you to help them make good choices. 3. Meal Prep: This is a total bonus. We're very tight on planning dinners and could use some help if you're up for it. For example, for Taco Tuesdays if you could dice up onions, peppers, tomatoes, cilantro and help get the fixins set - that would be a huge help. Ideally support on a few meals a week would be great but not a deal breaker if this aint you. 4. Spanish - we have the kids attending 1-2 spanish zoom lessons a week 4:30-5pm. This literally requires helping them get signed on the ipad and watching over them to monitor their participation. Daughters is engaged, its pretty much torture for our son but he hangs in there... If you speak Spanish and can help teach/tutor/immerse them in it that would be a HUGE PLUS! Let us know please! 5.Hours - 3:00-5:30'ish 5 days/week would be ideal. Departure time could be sooner as mom can come up at 5 if need be but hope to stretch it out to 5:30. Dad gets home by 5:30. Requirements: You'd need your own reliable car Just be a nice responsible patient person that likes kids - you'll be fine Other things: Cat - We have a Siamese. She's nice, pretty much keeps to herself. Our daughter feeds her @ 5ish - so just remind her and maybe open the can for her so she can scoop the food as its a bit difficult for her to actually open the can... Pick up - really if the kids make a mess, we just want to instill that they clean up after themselves, so encouraging them to clean up as 5-5:30 comes would be great. Don't do it for them - they'll do it. Not perfectly but going through the motions is the goal. Every now and then we may want a date night or cat sitting but that's on a case by case basis and we have several options but if you're willing and available we'd ad you to the roster to reach out to. 18-25/hr depending upon responsibilities.
