Job Description
POSITION: Bookkeeper
Part time position averaging about 20-24 hours per week. Work can be done mostly on a remote basis after a training and acclimation period.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processing accounts payable, accounts receivable and customer invoicing
- Preparing and processing payroll using Paychex
- Managing employment process including payroll management
- Calculation, filing and payment of all Sales Tax
- Managing bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Performing month-end closings
- Preparing accountant reports such as Sales Invoice Summary, Cash in Bank Deposit analysis
- Preparation of year-end 1099s
- Tracking fixed assets
- Preparing the trial balance
- Ordering office supplies
REQUIRES:
- Strong knowledge of Quickbooks (required), Microsoft Excel, Word, and Payroll software
- 3-5 years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience
- Accounting or Finance degree preferred
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Payroll experience
