Digital marketing agency seeks a full-time Marketing Strategist who has a strong track record of developing and training marketing strategies for clients.
What We Are Seeking In The Ideal Candidate:
This is the most important role in our agency so, the ideal candidate characteristics have to meet all of our criteria and, we have painstakingly laid everything out for you in this job post. In this role, the ideal candidate fully understands how to build effective marketing campaigns, understands how to develop & explain the customer journey, and what components are needed to implement the strategy including, but not limited to, copywriting, email automation, and SMS.
The ideal candidate enjoys leadership and is all about the details. They plan project lengths, coordinate with all parties, manage digital assets, maintain shared digital asset standards, and meet project deadlines. They understand all the moving components and manage both the client and internal agency team in a fully remote environment.
Most importantly, the ideal candidate understands that we are a small agency so, you must be versatile in your skills and understand that our environment means you will be wearing many hats during the week (read “what your typical work week will look like” to see if this is something you can handle in your role).
What your typical work week will look like:
30% of your time you will be in Zoom meetings with clients and their team members. These meetings include training new and old sales-agents on how to tactfully use our “playbook”, assist their team in pipeline auditing, and providing insights about our various reports.
20% of your time you will be in Zoom meetings with clients and their team members. These meetings include scoping new projects, creating new strategies, and sprints of work for the upcoming month. You’ll also field questions from clients on what direction they should take for achieving their desired goals.
15% of your time you will perform quality assurance quality control (QAQC) of the client project’s ensuring we’re delivering on our promise.
10% of your time you'll develop the strategy needed to achieve the client’s objectives (developing intake forms, telemarketing campaigns, enhancing user experience, AND reviewing the analytics for patterns or areas that need improvement). Once you develop the strategy and get the sign off from the client to proceed, you’ll then manage the agency team to get the work done.
10% of your time you will handle standard communications with clients and their team members ranging from: managing client expectations, additional requests, software training, and guidance to the agency team members.
5% of your time you will assist our internal agency team with your feedback on revisions for copy, marketing workflows, overall process, etc. to ensure the best possible work products are delivered to clients.

Recently we’re seeing the success of our insurance-based products & beliefs and are now sought across multiple industries.
We are a small digital marketing agency with a team of 19 remote staff working with clients in the P&C Broker space. The majority of our clients generate between $1M-$10M annual revenue.
Our team is 100% remote. We communicate internally in Slack, Zoom and sometimes on the phone. We communicate with clients via email, Zoom and sometimes phone or chat.
Our team members wear multiple hats, and we help each other to get the tasks done. We are growing and have big plans for the future of where we are headed, so every team member giving 100% to ensure we deliver amazing client experiences and have fun doing so is critically important.
Responsibilities In This Role:
Project Management:
Creation of projects, tasks, sub tasks, deadlines, assigned team members, etc.
Daily check-in with the team on status updates and Timeline expectations.
Addition of clients into Project Management tracking system.
Client Management:
You will be assigned clients that you will be working with. Your responsibility will be to communicate with clients on strategy and the progress of your project scope. You will also be responsible to update the internal agency team members who are part of your project.
Track your time spent on projects to ensure the business is meeting its budgetary constraints based on each project.
Manage and organize Googled shared drives containing assets for clients and our own agency.
Manage software including Keap (campaigns, dashboards), turboDial (agency phone), Slack (agency primary communication channel) and Zoom (agency meetings).
Be available during normal business hours (Monday-Friday) to attend recurring client meetings, client onboardings, client scheduled meetings, and be available in the internal agency Slack channel to answer team questions and issues as they arise.
Team Management:
Ownership of Agency Weekly meetings, checking on projects, and retainer clients based on the work slotted to ensure deadlines are met.
Reviewing and Build SOP Documents about company processes.
Weekly client updates on the progress of what is happening with their projects.
Manage the team to co-create and update departmental templates which are then updated inside the Project Management system and inside the SOP Manual.
Marketing Strategy:
Work with the client’s team, help develop the marketing strategy that will be used in marketing campaigns including, but not limited to; campaign builds, form creation, customer journey, additional lead gen activities (such as suggestion to run ads).
Collaborate with the client’s team members who handle other aspects of client projects. Inform them of your progress, hand off your completed portion so the other team members can finish their aspects (we have integration specialists you’d be working with).
When necessary, assist the internal agency team with its own marketing strategy and campaigns to drive new business into Lava Automation.
Marketing Automation:
Develop marketing campaigns, workflows, sequences, tasks, and reports in the CRM.
Set-up new CRM accounts with new clients including, but not limited to; importing databases, creating lists, creating dashboard reports, assisting with client software integrations for the CRM.
Set-up of tools to assist in successful marketing campaigns that may include; Zapier, turboDial, Cognito Forms, Zoom, Reportmojo, etc.

Compensation & Benefits:
Starting annual salary of $70,000 USD + commission opportunities
This full-time role is 40-hours per week
8 company holidays per year. New Years, 4th of July, Memorial, Labor Day, Veterans, Thanks Giving, Black Friday, & Christmas
10 days of paid time off (PTO) per year, accrued 1 PTO day every 208 hours (5.2weeks) worked
