The Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) invites you to be a part of a significant legal publishing effort! We are looking for a dedicated Law Clerk to support the 8th Edition update of our highly-regarded treatise, Pleading Causes of Action in Maryland.
This is a unique opportunity to work directly with attorney experts and gain invaluable, hands-on experience in legal publishing and Maryland civil procedure. If you have a passion for strong legal research and writing, we encourage you to apply!
What You'll Be Doing: You will be performing essential editorial and research tasks that directly contribute to the publication, including:
Conducting in-depth case research to uncover new, relevant legal authorities.
Mastering citation accuracy by performing cite corrections and ensuring strict adherence to Bluebook and style guidelines.
Utilizing advanced legal research techniques, such as Shepardizing cases and statutes.
Who We're Looking For:
A current 2L student.
Demonstrated excellence in legal research and writing.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Prior experience in a journal or law review is a plus.
Position Details & Benefits
Compensation: A competitive hourly rate of $18–$20.
Schedule: Work between 10–15 hours per week.
