    Are you a law school graduate waiting to pass the Bar or a new, inexperienced attorney looking to learn and put your skills to the test? We need a driven individual with a desire to learn to join our team. The reality is that it takes years of practical, first-hand experience to become a successful attorney. Our approach is to bring you in as a law clerk so you can become familiar with how the practice of law actually works and then, over time, give you more responsibilities to develop into an efficient and effective lawyer. We are one of the leading workers' compensation firms in the State and also handle social security disability and personal injury cases. We work with compassion and empathy for clients. This is an entry-level position, an investment in your professional growth, and an opportunity to learn and train under very respected practitioners. Responsibilities: • Organize and maintain files to ensure information is up to date and deadlines are properly docketed • Write legal memoranda specifying results of research in order to assist in determining the best course of action for court proceedings • Prepare the initial drafts of various documents, such as pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests/responses • Update clients on the status of their case • Prepare clients for and conduct depositions • Prepare for and argue motions in court • Prepare for, attend, and report on medical conferences involving our expert doctors and nurse case managers • Assist with client intake and initial case assessment Qualifications: • Plan to take or have already passed state bar exam • Display attention to detail and strong work ethic • Candidates must have great writing skills and communication skills to be able to argue effectively Compensation: $45,000 - $50,000 yearly
