Our growing law firm is looking to add an experienced legal accountant with a commitment to excellence. We are looking for a team player who can manage general ledgers, process deposits and accounts payable, and run accurate financial reports. We will rely on you to process client billing and meet deadlines, so proficiency at running custom reports and experience with accounting software are a must. Responsibilities: • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable and run monthly client invoices • Work with staff and clients to address client charges on invoices • Adjust and reconcile general ledgers and prepare financial reports such as balance statements and income and loss statements • Ensure staff and attorney payroll is processed, prepare annual W-2’s and 1099’s, and tax filings • Confirm and analyze data gathered for our year-end audit is accurate • Generate financial reports and own actions that need to be taken from the reports • Work directly with attorneys to reinforce processes and firm standards • Answer client billing questions while providing exceptional client service Qualifications: • Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures • H.S. diploma or equivalent, some college preferred - bachelor’s degree is a plus • Proficient in MS Excel, data entry, and accounting software • Applicants should have excellent attention to detail, communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work exceptionally well under pressure • Capable of maintaining strict confidentiality dealing with financial data Compensation: $65,000 - $72,000 yearly
