Do you love talking to people and helping them take the first step when they’re stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do next? Do you believe responsiveness, empathy, and confidence can change someone’s entire experience? We are a forward-thinking law firm on a path for aggressive growth, and we are looking for a Sales Champion to be the first point of contact for potential clients and a key driver of our firm’s growth. We handle family law, civil litigation, consumer protection, and related matters. Clients are people going through some of the most difficult chapters of their lives, and you will be the first human voice many of them hear. We want to be known for helping people feel heard, supported, and confident from the very first phone call. This role is critical. You are often the person who sets the tone for the entire client experience. This position is not a legal role. You will not provide legal advice. You will guide potential clients through our process, answer questions about next steps, and help the firm connect with the right clients. You can discuss the workflow in general, help clients describe their situation, and quote fees that have been set by an attorney. You cannot give legal advice, set a case strategy, or finalize engagements without attorney acceptance. We love people who take ownership, follow through, and understand that speed, clarity, and empathy matter. This is a role for someone who is comfortable with accountability, metrics, and results, and who genuinely enjoys helping people say "yes" to moving forward. If these statements appeal to you, you may be our Champion: • You genuinely enjoy talking to people and building rapport. • You smile when you answer the phone, and people can hear it. • You understand the difference between listening and waiting to talk. • You are persistent without being pushy. • You follow up when others forget. • You are organized and can track conversations, next steps, and details without letting anything slip through the cracks. • You are comfortable with scheduling, calendars, CRMs, and basic technology. • You can handle emotional conversations with professionalism and calm. • Your middle name is "No Drama." • You understand that how someone feels after a call matters just as much as what was said. • You do not think data entry or follow-up calls are "beneath you" because you know that is where deals are won, and relationships are built. • You can talk to a distraught client about their custody case at 10 a.m. and switch to a conversion tracking spreadsheet at 10:15 without missing a beat. • This role is ideal for someone who enjoys client interaction, relationship building, and helping a business grow, without doing legal work. Responsibilities: What You Will Do This role has two core functions that work together: Sales Conversations • Conduct sales conversations with prospective new clients (PNCs) to help them understand how the firm can help and to sell legal services • Present the cost of services (fees pre-determined by an attorney), answer questions about the process, and ask for the commitment • Handle objections with empathy and confidence, not pressure • Create contracts and accept payment (help clients with financing if necessary), then coordinate with the attorney for acceptance • Conduct 2nd, 3rd, and 4th follow-up calls to close the loop with PNCs who did not hire the firm during their initial conversation • Follow up on all outstanding electronic and mailed contracts that have not been signed and paid Client Services and Onboarding • Before consultations, ensure all PNCs receive pre-conditioning materials and that their information is updated in the CRM and lead tracking system • After a client hires the firm, enter clients and matters into the case management system and notify the appropriate team members to begin the case • Oversee client onboarding, including a 5-day follow-up (confirming the client feels supported, verifying deadlines and timeframes) and a 15-day follow-up (confirming satisfaction, addressing concerns, and explaining the billing process) • After a matter closes, contact former clients at 10, 30, and 270 days to keep the relationship fresh and encourage reviews and referrals • Track and maintain data in the CRM, lead tracking system, and case management system • Prepare metrics and reports for the owner on lead conversion rates, referral sources, cost of acquisition, and other key performance indicators Metrics You Will Own • Number of calls conducted with leads (potential PNCs) • Number of appointments scheduled for the next 3 weeks • Number of show-ups for sales appointments • Show up rate (%) • Conversion rate at 1st, 2nd, and 3rd touch (%) • Compensation to sales ratio (cost per engagement) • Onboarding completion rate (engagement letter sent + 5-day and 15-day follow-up calls completed) Qualifications: Who You Are • 1+ years of experience in sales, client services, intake, or a client-facing role (legal industry experience is a plus, not required) • Comfortable making outbound calls, following up persistently, and asking for the sale • Strong communicator who can interact professionally and empathetically with people going through difficult life transitions • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to track multiple conversations, deadlines, and follow-ups simultaneously • Comfortable with CRMs, case management software, spreadsheets, and basic technology • Self-motivated: you see what needs doing and do it without being asked • Metrics-driven and comfortable being held accountable to performance goals • Discreet and trustworthy with confidential client information • Bonus Points • Prior experience in a law firm, especially in family law, civil litigation, or consumer protection • Experience with legal intake processes or legal CRM systems • Bilingual (English and Spanish) • Background in consultative or relationship-based sales (not high-pressure telemarketing) • Familiarity with client onboarding and follow-up systems What We Offer • Base salary plus quarterly performance incentives tied to clients successfully onboarded and sales performance • Benefits - Generous PTO; Health, Dental Insurance; Retirement. • Structured onboarding and training program (you will shadow, learn, and be supported before going live) • A collaborative, respectful work environment where your work is noticed and appreciated • The opportunity to make a direct impact on the growth of the firm and the lives of the clients we serve • Room for growth as the firm expands • This is a full-time position where you are expected to manage prospective and new client relationships, so you absolutely must be able to work in the office for 40 hours per week. Initial compensation will include a base salary with quarterly performance incentives based on clients successfully onboarded and sales results.
