Setting clerk/Legal Assistant
Job Description
The position is responsible for SETTING CASES FOR hearing, preparing the file for hearings, preparing all accompanying order for signature.
SETTING MEDIATIONS and preparing accompanying documents and notices to all of the appropriate parties and conforming their attendance at mediation.
SETTING DEPOSITIONS and preparing accompanying documents and subpoenas and notices to the subject parties and confirming their appearance. Reviewing calendar on a daily or weekly basis and working with the attorney and/or paralegal to confirm the attorney’s attendance at applicable event.
The position works independently but assists the para-legal by reporting major activities/status through periodic meetings. The position requires 1-3 years of legal experience or office/legal work experience with a desire to learn.
Knowledge of the Florida Courts E-filing Portal is preferred
