Our law firm specializes in immigration law and is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of legal documents, conduct research on various cases, and provide general administrative support to our legal team. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of immigration law and procedures. Responsibilities: • Legal Document Preparation : Assist in the preparation of legal documents such as applications, petitions, and briefs. Ensure all documents are accurate and comply with legal standards. • Case Management : Maintain and organize case files, monitor deadlines, and ensure all case materials are readily available for attorneys. • Client Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for clients, answering queries, and providing updates on their cases. Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. • Research: Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and immigration policies to support case preparation and legal strategies. • Administrative Support : Perform general office duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing email correspondence. Qualifications: • Prior experience as a legal assistant, preferably in immigration law. • Strong understanding of legal terminology and immigration procedures. • Proficient in legal research and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Bilingual abilities (particularly in languages commonly spoken by immigrant communities) are a plus. Compensation: $31,000 - $40,000 yearly
