Responsibilities: • As our senior Administration Paralegal, you will work with settlement counsel to ensure the clients’ trust estates are administered efficiently, smoothly, and accurately. • You will communicate directly with the Trustee and the client’s professional team to review estate planning documents, inventory assets, assess the date of death values, and build a complete picture of the deceased’s financial assets and distribution plan. • You will facilitate the administration process from beginning to end including meeting with Trustees and family members, gathering information, creating asset schedules and spreadsheets, confirming beneficiary designations, obtaining tax ID numbers, coordinating estate tax returns and 1041s, and drafting legal documents. • Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring trust assets are properly distributed to designated beneficiaries and final accountings are completed and filed. • This position requires the quiet confidence necessary for dealing with sensitive, confidential information regarding affluent clients and complex assets. • You will interact and build relationships with our clients, their family members, their CPAs, financial advisors, and other professionals, in person, via email, and over telephone and video. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or another related field and/or at least 3 years of experience in estate planning, estate, and trust administration, or related field. • A basic familiarity with the Oregon and federal estate tax system and Oregon Uniform Trust Code. • Proven aptitude with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Excellent communication and grammar skills. • Highly organized with superior attention to detail. Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000
