Trust and Estate Associate Attorney Position Boutique Trust and Estate law firm is seeking an Estate Planning Associate to join an established practice located in Manhattan Beach, California. Position Summary An established boutique law firm is seeking an Estate Planning Associate Attorney to assist with expanding its practice. Applicants should be serious about building a career in the estate planning and trust and estate administration field. The firm provides a collegial environment and works to make sure that the environment fosters growth in its employees. You would work with highly trained and experienced attorneys in handling high-end estate planning matters, as well as probate and trust administrations. Must be a team player and a person who desires to excel and improve his or her skillset in the area. Must maintain positive contact with attorneys (both the firm's and outside counsel), support staff, and clients. This position includes but is not limited to the functions and skills listed in this description. Responsibilities may be revised as needed. Responsibilities: • Skill with Microsoft Word • Willingness to learn about drafting and preparing estate planning documents • Willingness to learn federal wealth transfer taxes • Excellent organizational, writing, and proofreading skills • Ability to track and meet deadlines • Highly motivated and a self-starter • Ability to interact well with attorneys, staff, and clients • Computer literate, able to organize electronic files, data rooms, and the like • Experience with or willing to learn Excel • Experience in handling and organizing probate and trust administrations • Experience with or willing to learn the preparation of gift and estate tax returns • Experience with or willing to learn the preparation of fiduciary accountings • Experience with common estate planning documents such as various types of wills and trusts • Experience in handling basic real estate transactions • Basic experience with corporate documents Qualifications: • Experience in Wills, Trusts, and Estates is preferred, but not required. • Must have graduated from an ABA-accredited law school. • Pay depending on experience. • Must be licensed to practice law in California. Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 yearly
