Responsibilities: • Assist with estate planning, probate, and trust administration cases • Prepare initial drafts of pleadings and estate planning binders • Communicate with clients, courts, financial advisors, trustees, law firms, and other personnel • File documents with the Court including e-filing, mail documents, and scheduling court appearances • Assist with client meetings, including Estate Planning signing meetings • Maintain and monitor case progress, deadlines, and important timeframes/milestones • Document information in the law firm’s practice management system • Support the office with special projects and general administrative duties, as needed Qualifications: • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant • Paralegal certification or qualify as a paralegal under California Business & Professions Code §6450 • Set priorities, manage your own workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment • Excellent communicator, organized with exceptional attention to detail • Computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (knowledge of Actionstep is a plus!) • Ability to work and be in the office (this is not a remote position) Compensation: $22 - $35 hourly
