We’re seeking a positive, personable certified paralegal for a rewarding career opportunity! You’ll work directly with our attorneys and senior paralegals in Trusts and Estates (Trust Administration, Estate Planning, and Probate), as well as Business/Corporate Law (business formation and compliance). Responsibilities: • Answer incoming calls and emails on questions regarding cases, as well as communicate with clients regarding the information needed for cases • Interact with financial institutions and insurance companies regarding assets for client cases • Work with law firm staff to streamline and contribute to law firm operations • Complete financial and insurance documents regarding client cases • Prepare and file compliance paperwork regarding business entities (corporations, LLCs, etc.) • Assist attorneys and paralegals in drafting business documents, such as Operating Agreements, written consents, and stock/membership certificates • Draft petitions and other court documents for probate and trust administration court cases • Prepare documents relating to trust administration cases Qualifications: Must possess exemplary interpersonal skills, communication skills, and active listening skills Must have graduated high school, received a G.E.D. or equivalent Experience working in a customer-oriented atmosphere • Basic knowledge regarding financial account titling, as well as insurance policy and retirement account beneficiary designations • Must have an extremely high degree of attention to detail • Spanish fluency/proficiency is a plus (but not required) • Certification as a paralegal, or currently studying to become a paralegal Compensation: $16 - $18 hourly
