    Are you looking for an opportunity to zealously represent immigrants in immigration court and hone your skills as a litigator? Our law firm is looking for the next associate attorney to assist in providing legal counsel to our clients. You will work closely with our senior attorney and paralegals, represent our clients in immigration court, conduct legal research, draft motions, and maintain client files. If you enjoy advocating for your clients in immigration court, have excellent fact-finding and communication skills, and are ready to jump-start your career in the legal industry, we want to hear from you! Must speak Spanish/be bilingual. Responsibilities: Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients • Appear in Immigration court to represent immigrants and advocate for favorable adjudication of their applications for relief before immigration judges • Manage deadlines and effectively conduct scheduling reviews with a senior attorneys to effectively manage document submissions Qualifications: Candidates must have passed the bar exam Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys • MUST be bilingual/speak Spanish • Must have experience in immigration law (ideally removal proceedings) Compensation: $85,000
