This position is available to motivated individuals with experience managing lawn health. Our Spray Technicians are responsible for managing all turf and ornamentals under contract. This position requires working alone and seasonally working with teams. This is a key position to ensure turf and plant quality for our customers. Taking ownership of sites assigned is an absolute must.
Administrational Responsibilities:
Keep track of your daily times. Ensure times are accurate before turning them in.
Ensure weekly inspections are completed on assigned trucks, trailer, and equipment. Any discrepancies, broken equipment, missing equipment, etc. are reported to your manager.
Ensure proper notifications are left behind with residential customers following visits.
Keep track of chemicals and materials used as well as inventory on hand.
Operational Responsibilities:
Conduct annual soil testing on accounts.
Spread granular fertilizer and lime by spreader.
Apply herbicides and fungicides by skid sprayer.
Aeration of Warm & Cool Season grasses.
Some application will require the use of a backpack sprayer.
Practice safe handling, mixing, and transportation of materials.
Take ownership of the accounts that are assigned to your route. Being proactive in identifying current or potential problems around your sites.
Report any damage to landscape (damaged trees, declining plant material; including turf) to your manager immediately.
Perform assigned property maintenance contract requirements in a timely manner, according to production expectations, and customer service standards on a daily basis.
Ensure assigned equipment is in safe working order by performing basic preventive maintenance.
Requirements:
Turf & Weed Identification
Disease & Insect Identification
Minimum of high school diploma.
Applicators license are preferred but not required. (You will be required to obtain one within the first 180 days)
Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience related to turf & ornamental applications.
Must have a clean NCDL.
Must pass a drug test and background check.
Must be proficient with required equipment and tools to complete assigned work.
Must have the ability to follow all company polices.
Must have the ability to pass safety, driver, and training courses within 180 day probationary period.
Must poses the ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis and up to 80lbs on occasion.
