Lawn Doctor of Boise is a locally owned and independently operated lawn care company looking for a strong Lawn Care Technician / Applicator to join our team. We care deeply about both our customers and our staff, and we take pride in doing quality work the right way.

This is not a mowing or landscaping position. This role focuses on lawn and outdoor treatment services such as fertilization, weed control, pest control, aeration, seeding, and tree and shrub treatments.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, communicates well with customers, works well independently, and wants to grow. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than just a job — someone who wants to build real knowledge, develop strong field skills, take ownership of their work, and grow into greater responsibility and leadership over time.

At Lawn Doctor, our approach is simple: be safe, have fun, and change the world one lawn at a time.

    What You’ll Do

Apply lawn fertilization and weed control treatments

Treat landscape beds and non-turf areas for weeds

Perform pest control treatments around homes and properties

Apply tree and shrub fertilization and insect control

Perform aeration and overseeding during the season

Help with equipment maintenance, shop tasks, and operational support as needed

This is an active, hands-on role for someone who can stay organized, work efficiently, and represent the company well in the field.

    What We’re Looking For

Dependable, motivated, and ready to learn

Able to work independently with limited direct supervision

Strong communication and customer service skills

Interested in building real knowledge in lawn, tree and shrub, and pest control services

Takes ownership of their work and customer relationships

Wants to grow in skill, responsibility, and leadership over time

We would especially value someone who is already licensed, but we are also open to someone with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a serious drive to grow into a higher-level role.

    Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Reliable transportation to and from work

    Strong attendance and work ethic

Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

    Ability to operate equipment safely

    Ability to lift 50+ pounds

Ability to meet daily production goals while maintaining quality

    Preferred but Not Required

Applicator license and/or pest control license

Experience in lawn care, pest control, tree and shrub care, or related field service work

    Experience in a route-based position

    Schedule and Compensation

Our main season runs roughly March through October, with reduced off-season hours for equipment maintenance, shop work, and operational support.

Compensation is expected to be $38,000–$45,000 per year, depending on experience, licensing, and fit. For the right candidate, we are open to structuring this as a salary-based role to provide more consistent year-round pay.
