Job Description
The Client Services Specialist works with the Client Services team to execute a vigorous case management strategy. The position provides a great opportunity for a person looking to make a difference in the community. By helping to enrich the lives of SISU participants, this individual will contribute to reducing crime, increasing employment opportunities, and fostering positive social-emotional development within the population we serve.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate referral and intake process for new clients
- Conduct needs assessments and create/implement ISP’s (Individual Service Plans)
- Meet regularly with clients, monitor progress, and make recommendations for services and programming
- Facilitate on-site and virtual programming, including workforce development, life skills, social-emotional growth, etc.
- Maintain client records within the organization’s data management systems
- Build partnerships and coordinate services with community organizations
- Identify, establish, and monitor post-secondary education, vocational training, and job placement opportunities for youth
- Attend staff meetings, professional development, and program activities
- All other duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s in Human Services, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or related field
- Understanding of urban culture and proven-risk youth preferred
- Strong comfort level in approaching youth at different levels of social-emotional growth
- Ability to work sensitively and effectively in a multicultural setting
- Strong leadership, organization, and facilitation skills
- Comfort working within a team-oriented, professional environment
- Valid driver’s license and has own transportation
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
