Job Description

The Client Services Specialist works with the Client Services team to execute a vigorous case management strategy.  The position provides a great opportunity for a person looking to make a difference in the community.  By helping to enrich the lives of SISU participants, this individual will contribute to reducing crime, increasing employment opportunities, and fostering positive social-emotional development within the population we serve.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate referral and intake process for new clients
• Conduct needs assessments and create/implement ISP’s (Individual Service Plans)
• Meet regularly with clients, monitor progress, and make recommendations for services and programming
• Facilitate on-site and virtual programming, including workforce development, life skills, social-emotional growth, etc.
• Maintain client records within the organization’s data management systems
• Build partnerships and coordinate services with community organizations
• Identify, establish, and monitor post-secondary education, vocational training, and job placement opportunities for youth
• Attend staff meetings, professional development, and program activities
• All other duties assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s in Human Services, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or related field
• Understanding of urban culture and proven-risk youth preferred
• Strong comfort level in approaching youth at different levels of social-emotional growth
• Ability to work sensitively and effectively in a multicultural setting 
• Strong leadership, organization, and facilitation skills
• Comfort working within a team-oriented, professional environment
• Valid driver’s license and has own transportation
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
