D & L Fabricating is a 40+ year family owned and operated business. We specialize in structural steel fabrication. We are looking for someone who is ready to work and who will stay motivated to work!
What to expect being apart of our team:
Full-time job, up to 6 days a week, 8-10 hour shifts, Day-shift.
Plenty of overtime every week. Up to 15 hours!
Get paid every Friday by either check or direct deposit.

Job Responsibilities:
Interpret Blueprints and Drawings: Accurately read and interpret structural steel blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to plan layout and fitting operations.
Layout and Marking: Measure, mark, and lay out steel components using hand tools, measuring instruments, and layout templates to prepare for fabrication and assembly.
Fit and Assemble Components: Position, align, and fit parts according to detailed specifications using clamps, jigs, and fixtures to ensure proper alignment and dimensions.
Tack Welding and Burning: Perform tack welding, thermal cutting (burning), beveling, and coping to prepare materials for final welding and assembly.
Use of Tools and Equipment: Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, cutting torches, and layout instruments with accuracy and safety.
Quality Control: Check completed work against drawings and specifications to verify correct dimensions, angles, and tolerances; make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
Material Handling: Assist in moving, loading, and hoists, or other lifting equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe work environment.
Worksite Organization: Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards; properly store tools and equipment after use.
Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with fitters, welders, and supervisors, to resolve issues, clarify instructions, and ensure project requirements are met.
What are we looking for in a Layout Fitter:
3 YEARS OF WELDING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Must be able to read drawings.
Must be able to understand and use a tape measure.
Experience in handrail and stairs is a plus.

$21-$24, depending on how much experience that you have.
