Overview

The Staff Accountant is responsible for, account reconciliation, fixed asset tracking, financial statement preparation, preparing month end workpapers, and other monthly duties. This position is accountable for handling confidential information with a high degree of discretion and responds effectively to changing workloads and priorities.

Essential Functions

• Assists in the preparation of balance sheet(s) and income statement(s) for multiple US warehouses
• Prepares detailed analysis of financial statements
• Reviews financial statements with applicable management personnel in a timely manner
• Assists with tax related projects (personal property tax, sales tax, income tax, etc.)
• Assists with budgets
• Works closely with accounts receivable and accounts payable departments
• Maintains strict confidentiality
• Performs other duties and/or tasks as assigned

Non-Essential Functions

• Assists in yearly audits with an outside CPA auditing firm
• Assists other accountants

Required Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operation software knowledge preferred
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
• Exceptional level of confidentiality
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional level of professionalism, and acute attention to detail in all areas of responsibilities
• Exceptional level of responsibility, integrity, honesty, and assertiveness

• Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, and office machinery
