    Position: Lead Accountant

    Reports To: President

    What does a Lead Accountant with Paul Davis do?

    Oversee and maintain all accounting functions - GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, produce monthly financial statements, etc.

    Update and maintain financial accounting software - Quickbooks online

    Assist the management team in job costing, project P/L and financial analysis

    Team Qualifications (Requirements):

    Must have 5+ years of experience in accounting with a remodeling/home improvement/construction company

    Proficient with QBO, MS Excel, MS Word, other software

    Must be process oriented

    Must be able to prioritize and manage time, and be extremely organized

    Excellent communication skills

    Fluent in English

    Have the ability to work overtime, if needed

    Be willing and able to work full time in office Monday through Friday

    Role on the Team (Job Responsibilities):

    Supports the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting

    Manage day to day accounting functions for home improvement and remodeling projects

    Possess strong listening and communication skills, ask questions and monitor various aspects of the business to detect problems

    Handle all job costing and billing

    Create and evaluate reports on financial performance for internal and external use. Interact with all levels of our organization in determining content and summarizing data for management.

    Completes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities inlcuding the preparation and review of journal entries and appropriate audit work papers, and the reconciliation of accounts for such activities. These activities may relate to bank accounting, loans and investments, deposits, and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.

    Reconcile project budgets and monitor profit margins

    Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies
