Responsibilities: What You’ll Own Financial Reporting & Close Ownership • Own the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) • Lead and continuously improve the month-end close process , reducing days to close while maintaining precision • Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger integrity • Deliver clean, GAAP-compliant financial reporting with audit-ready documentation Cash Flow & Financial Operations Oversight • Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and working capital management • Build and maintain cash flow forecasting models with clear visibility for leadership • Partner with executive leadership to provide actionable financial insights that drive business decisions • Monitor and optimize firm profitability, collections, and expense management Team Leadership & Accountability • Lead, develop, and scale the accounting team (GL, AP, AR) • Establish clear ownership, KPIs, and accountability standards across the function • Create a high-performance culture with strong controls and execution discipline • Design a scalable team structure aligned with firm growth Process Improvement & Systems • Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable, automated accounting processes • Lead ERP/system optimization and accounting infrastructure enhancements • Standardize and document financial workflows, controls, and SOPs across the firm • Drive adoption of technology to improve accuracy, speed, and reporting visibility Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Month-end close completed within X days (target: continuous reduction) • 100% GAAP-compliant financials with minimal audit adjustments • Cash flow forecast accuracy within ±5–10% • AR aging improvement and reduction in outstanding receivables • On-time reconciliations (100% completion monthly) • Process automation improvements resulting in measurable efficiency gains Qualifications: Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred) • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; law firm or professional services experience preferred • Proven experience leading month-end close and financial reporting • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial controls • Experience managing AR/AP, cash flow, and working capital • Demonstrated success in process improvement and system optimization (ERP/accounting systems) • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools • Advanced proficiency in Quickbooks Core Competencies • Ownership Mentality – Takes full responsibility for financial accuracy and outcomes • Operational Excellence – Builds efficient, repeatable, scalable processes • Analytical Rigor – Translates financial data into clear business insights • Leadership & Accountability – Drives performance across the team • Attention to Detail – Ensures precision without slowing execution • Continuous Improvement Mindset – Always looking to optimize systems and workflows Compensation: $80,000
