Position Summary:
Reporting to department management, the Audiology Lead is responsible for direct patient care and the daily support of the Audiologists (under clinical supervision of their supervising physician) working in assigned practices, sites, departments and/or programs. Functions as a leader and an expert professional, and assumes responsibility and accountability for the expert applications of the delivery of patient care. The primary responsibility is to meet the needs of Audiologists, physicians, patients and staff. Key liaison with leadership, physicians, other Audiologists and staff, promotes the productive growth and development of Audiologists, actively mentors Audiologists in building cohesive patient care teams with physicians as well as extended care team members and departments, participates in strategic planning and business development, and functions and acts as an advocate for the needs of patients. Responsible for implementing and maintaining Audiology requirements both programmatic and competency specific for all assigned Audiology programs. Comprehensive knowledge regarding the process of Audiology program development, credentialing, privileging and peer review requirements.
