    Job Description:

    The Avionics Lead Technician is responsible for all functions assigned to provide airworthiness of the aircraft upon completion of maintenance at the facility. A Lead Avionics is required to be a certified A&P Technician.

    Essential duties and responsibilities:

    Being available for consultation on matters relating to work being accomplished on his or her assigned aircraft

    Lead and perform troubleshooting, repair, and return-to-service action on the assigned aircraft

    Supervise team of 1-3 avionics mechanics or technicians

    Ensuring all required paperwork is satisfactorily completed, signed, and complies with all existing regulations and procedures

    Ensuring all equipment is properly used and adequate safeguards are in place to protect the customer’s aircraft and equipment

    Monitoring and reporting to supervisors on the work of personnel under his or her responsibility, including work performance, productivity, quality, and personnel safety

    Performing on-the-job training for personnel

    Performing all other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements:

    Minimum 3 year of avionics experience preferred

    Ability to read and interpret avionics wiring diagrams and schematics

    Familiarity with modern avionics systems (Garmin, Honeywell, Collins, etc.)

    Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

    The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required

    Must possess current and active FAA A&P Certificate
