Compensation • $25-35 an hour depending on experience

Job Responsibilities Assessment and Planning:
Evaluate the condition of damaged properties and structures.
Collaborate with restoration specialists and project managers to develop restoration plans.
Carpentry Work:
Repair and replace damaged wooden structures, such as walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.
Experience with framing, joists, and different support structures.
Install new wooden components to match existing structures.
Work with a variety of tools including saws, drills, chisels, and sanders.
Build decks, posts, stair risers, etc.
Framing and Structural Repair:
Rebuild damaged or weakened structural elements, including load-bearing beams and columns.
Ensure proper alignment and support to maintain structural integrity.
Finishing Work:
Install trim, molding, and baseboards to match the original design.
Apply finishes such as staining, varnishing, and painting to achieve a consistent appearance.
Install cabinets in both a commercial and residential setting.
Window and Door Restoration:
Repair or replace damaged window frames, sashes, and casings.
Restore or recreate intricate details of historic windows and doors.
Custom Woodwork:
Craft custom wooden elements to match historical styles and designs.
Create custom cabinets, shelving, and other fixtures as needed.
Drywall
Ability to hang, tape, and finish drywall in residential or small patchwork situations
Texture or match texture to existing drywall finishes
Qualifications And Requirements
5+ years of professional carpentry experience, ideally in restoration or remodeling
Proficient in framing, finish work, and general construction methods
Able to read and follow scopes of work and communicate clearly with the PM team
Comfortable using power tools, ladders, and standard safety equipment
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
OSHA 10 or higher certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Must pass background check and drug screening
