    Job Summary

    The Lead Coach is the primary instructor responsible for delivering fun, high‑quality sessions. This role oversees class execution, ensures safety, mentors assistant coaches, and creates an environment where kids build confidence, strength, and a love for movement. The position calls for an energetic, organized leader who can inspire both kids and staff.

    Responsibilities

    1. Class Leadership & Elite Instruction

    Primary Instruction: Lead engaging fitness classes for children ages 3–12 with unmatched enthusiasm and professionalism.

    Technique Mastery: Demonstrate proper form, technique, and safe movement patterns flawlessly.

    Curriculum Delivery: Deliver structured lesson plans dynamically, adapting activities on the fly to suit different ages, skill levels, and group dynamics.

    Engagement: Keep kids focused, motivated, and supported using positive reinforcement and inclusive coaching strategies.

    Class Management: Command the room by managing class flow, transitions, and activity stations for smooth, seamless sessions.

    1. Team Leadership & Staff Development

    Mentorship: Act as the direct mentor and guide for Assistant Coaches during sessions, modeling excellent coaching behaviors.

    Delegation: Delegate tasks effectively, including equipment setup, cleanup, and targeted instructional assistance.

    Feedback: Provide constructive, real-time feedback to assistant staff to support their professional growth and ensure coaching consistency.

    Onboarding: Help train new coaches on curriculum execution, safety standards, and the core Zippy Squirrels philosophy.

    1. Safety, Supervision & Behavior Management

    Risk Management: Ensure all classes strictly adhere to company safety protocols and youth fitness best practices.

    Vigilance: Monitor equipment integrity, facility spacing, and child behavior to maintain a zero-accident environment.

    Positive Discipline: Address behavioral challenges calmly and constructively, using positive discipline and redirection strategies.

    Incident Response: Respond to minor injuries or incidents immediately, providing care and completing all required documentation accurately.

    1. Program Execution & Quality Control

    Brand Standards: Guarantee that every class meets the high-quality benchmarks, structure, and energetic standards of the Zippy Squirrels brand.

    Curriculum Development: Assist management in developing, testing, or refining lesson plans, themes, and class formats.

    Operational Support: Support scheduling, program planning, and overall operational logistics as directed by management.

    Qualifications

    Experience leading youth fitness, sports, or group activity programs.

    Strong leadership, communication, and group‑management skills.

    Ability to motivate and inspire children in a high‑energy setting.

    Knowledge of basic fitness principles and safe movement patterns.

    CPR/First Aid certification required.

    NASM or ACE Certification preferred but not required

    Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred but not required

    Reliable, organized, and confident in managing groups of children.
