Lead Content Creator
Are you a creative, outgoing content creator who loves being around people and capturing fun, real moments? Are you someone with real content experience who’s looking for a full-time creative job close to home? If you thrive in fast-paced environments, have a sharp eye for short-form content, know how to use AI tools to work smarter and get excited about bringing stories to life on social media, this may be the perfect fit for you.
Bridge Marina is looking for a Lead Content Creator who thrives in the action - someone social, curious, energetic, and motivated to grow. This is an active, on-the-water creative role where you’ll film engaging educational content, boating experiences, team moments, guest stories, and more that helps people connect with boating and Bridge Marina.
This is not a remote, purely post-production role or a job for someone who prefers slow, polished, cinematic projects. If you’re introverted, purely behind-the-scenes, or juggling freelance clients… this won’t be for you.
If you’re hungry to grow, excited by the idea of producing high-volume digital content, use AI tools to help you work smarter and faster and appreciate the value of working close to home in a fun, supportive environment - we’d love to meet you.
About the Role
The Lead Content Creator serves as a production engine of our marketing team. You will film, edit, repurpose and generate long-form and short-form videos across all platforms - TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn and more, showcasing boating, educational content, behind-the-scenes moments, boat reviews, guest experiences, and more.
In season, you'll be out capturing and editing content daily: walking the docks, riding on boats, filming lessons and events, and discovering the stories our guests and team naturally create. You’ll capture moments quickly and turn them into dozens of micro-content assets.
Off season, the position remains just as active creatively, shifting to a larger focus on repurposing and re-cutting our extensive library of content, filming sit-down interviews, educational pieces and more. The job stays varied and creative, with substantial filming and editing opportunities regardless of season.
We’re seeking someone who:
Thrives in fast-paced, people-centered environments
Loves interacting and talking with guests and team members to capture authentic interactions
Enjoys filming outdoors
Comfortably films with iPhone, drone, 360 camera and similar
Understands social and interest media and trends
Can edit quickly and effectively and is comfortable using AI tools to accelerate editing, idea generation and repurposing
Has 1–3 years of relevant experience
Lives near Lake Hopatcong or values local work
Has a “go-getter,” enthusiastic approach
Wants to grow with a small but mighty creative team
What You’ll Do
Filming
Capture content outdoors and indoors: educational how-to’s, boats, docks, guests, team moments, interviews and community interactions
Film with a fast, agile, social-first mindset, using iPhone, drone, 360 camera and similar
Capture multiple angles, takes and formats for repurposing
Work comfortably with people, initiating conversation and directing shots when needed
High Volume Editing and Repurposing
Quickly edit long and short-form videos that match current platform trends
Repurpose and recut existing footage into new evergreen content
Use AI tools as part of your editing and ideation process for speed
Edit in platform-native styles: TikTok, Shorts, Reels
Build an organized library of b-roll and reusable assets
Creative Development
Generate ideas for series, stories, hooks, and new content opportunities
Stay ahead of social trends and recommend formats, approach and sounds
Create thumbnails, graphics, and b-roll
Use AI tools to help spark concepts, refine ideas, or expand content options
Provide simple “Creator Notes” (short summaries of each clip’s intent) for internal workflow
Collaborate with the brand team on creative direction and storytelling approach
What This Role Is Not:
Not a purely cinematic role
Not a remote or desk-only job
Not for freelancers juggling multiple clients
Not a slow, artistic production environment - we move fast
This role is for a creator who loves interaction, real moments, and fast-paced storytelling.
