    Lead Custom Framer – Full Time

    Art Leaders Gallery is seeking an experienced Lead Custom Framer to join our team. Our family-owned gallery takes pride in offering exceptional service, and our framing department is a cornerstone of that mission. We handle a wide variety of artwork and memorabilia, from works on paper and canvas to sports jerseys, historical artifacts, and more. Every day presents new creative challenges.

    Requirements

    3+ years of custom framing experience (production-focused)

    Strong attention to detail and design sense

    Ability to cut mats manually (Fletcher 2200 or similar)

    Knowledge of hinge mounting, museum mounting, canvas stretching, etc.

    Experience cutting and handling large sheets of glass

    Proven work with high-value, museum-grade art

    Specialty framing skills (shadow boxes, textiles, cross-stitch, etc.)

    Outgoing, customer-service driven personality

    Ability to work independently and with a team

    Comfortable using power tools (miter saw, drills)

    Physically able to lift 50 lbs., bend, climb ladders, and hang artwork

    Computer skills: custom framing software, Microsoft Word, email

    Key Responsibilities

    Design and complete custom framing orders for clients and gallery display

    Deliver all projects on time with precision and care

    Manage purchase orders and vendor communications

    Keep clients informed about project status, completions, or delays

    Maintain organized workspaces, frame samples, and display walls

    Assist with artwork delivery, installations, packing, and shipping as needed

    Support gallery operations: display updates, merchandise organization, and event participation

    Provide exceptional customer service, including wrapping artwork, loading client vehicles, and assisting on the sales floor when needed
