We create affordable, high-quality residential construction drawings for individuals and professional home builders across Wisconsin.

    Summary of Responsibilities

    As one of our Lead Drafters, you'll play a key role in developing our custom home plans, updating existing plans, and assisting in the creation of 3D renderings. We pride ourselves on accuracy and turnaround time. After your training period, you will get challenging work that matches your skills, along with a competitive salary. You'll be part of a supportive, fast-paced team that values solutions over complaints, and as you grow in the role, you’ll have opportunities to work directly with clients and take on higher-level responsibilities.

    Essential Functions

    • Revise and update existing house plans per request
    • Post training you will come up with unique layouts that are client and budget driven
    • Help create interior and exterior 3D renderings
    • Deliver plans that are accurate and code compliant
    • Apply a checklist to all plans to ensure accuracy
    • Being highly capable with CAD software and computers in general
    • Contribute to a solution-driven team environment

    Education, Experience, and Skills Required

    • 2+ years of drafting experience (residential focus preferred), equivalent to 1+ year drafting experience with Soft Plan expertise.
    • Proficiency in Soft Plan 2020 or similar residential drafting software
    • Tech degree in Residential Design or Architectural Technology, equivalent to 1 year of Soft Plan experience
    • Detail-oriented, analytical, and a natural problem-solver
    • Ability to take direction, follow a check list and update plans to our standards

    Compensation 

    • $60,000+ per year (based on experience)
