Join a fast growing national brand that will be launching in Southern Wake County in April. HomeSmiles provides professional, preventative home maintenance services. We handle the routine but important work that helps homeowners protect their investment and avoid costly repairs.
About this Role:
We are looking for a reliable, capable Lead Field Technician as our first hire who wants hands-on work today and the opportunity to grow with us as we scale. While initial work will be part-time, we expect to grow quickly. The right person will have opportunities for more consistent work, increased responsibility, and leadership as we build our team.
You should have excellent troubleshooting skills, field experience, and the ability to adapt to a changing work schedule. A top-level Field Technician efficiently manages all service callouts, providing high-quality service and maintenance for any job size. You will drive our company-owned truck to the job sites and complete our unique solutions to home maintenance for our clients.
Responsibilities
Greet Customers with a smile, review orders, and ensure satisfaction with services
Perform exterior services: dryer vent cleaning, softwash and pressure washing, window cleaning, and gutter cleaning
Perform basic exterior and interior maintenance tasks
Scope and complete miscellaneous property maintenance jobs, including installation and testing new equipment
Create professional job reports using our digital mobile platform
Train new field technicians
Keep tools and equipment in clean and good working condition; performing regular preventative maintenance, and if necessary repair in the field
Maintain equipment stock in the company vehicle, and vehicle readiness
Drive company vehicle responsibly and safely to/from Customer sites
This is a non-construction, non-licensed repair role. You will not be asked to perform plumbing, electrical, roofing, or general contractor services.
Pay & Bonuses
$25–$30 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience

Ability to pass a background check

Comfortable working on ladders and outdoors
Strong attention to quality, safety, and professionalism
Clear communication and follow-through
Prior experience in hands-on maintenance or trade-related work, especially in customer-facing environments, is helpful but not required
