Lead Installer Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of Residential Service HVAC Installers in the installation, retrofitting, and replacement of HVAC systems in residential properties.
Coordinate and oversee installation projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines.
Interpret HVAC blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to plan and execute installations efficiently.
Collaborate with clients and provide expert recommendations on equipment selection, system design, and energy-efficient solutions.
Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing HVAC systems, determine installation requirements, and identify potential challenges.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
Install, connect, and test HVAC components, including air handlers, condensers, ductwork, thermostats, and refrigerant lines.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues, making necessary adjustments and modifications as needed.
Train and mentor junior installers, providing guidance on best practices, safety procedures, and efficient installation techniques.
Ensure accurate documentation of installation activities, including equipment specifications, system configurations, and any modifications made during the installation process.
Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in the HVAC field.
Lead Installer Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid HVAC installer license or certification.
Proven experience as a Residential Service HVAC Installer, including lead or supervisory experience.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation methods.
Strong understanding of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret HVAC blueprints and technical drawings.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Proficient in using HVAC tools, equipment, and testing devices.
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and resources.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
