Position Summary The Primary, Kindergarten, and Elementary Classroom Teacher will be responsible for leading a classroom with warmth, structure, and professionalism while supporting the growth and success of each student. This role includes preparing and delivering age-appropriate lessons, maintaining a well-organized classroom environment, following daily lesson plans, communicating with parents and administration, and supporting the overall mission and standards of Montessori Reggio Academy. Qualifications To be considered for this position, candidates should have: • A minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience with children ages 3 and up • Experience in a Primary, Kindergarten, or Elementary classroom setting • A Montessori certification is preferred • Strong classroom management and leadership skills • Ability to create a warm, structured, and engaging classroom environment • Strong communication and organizational skills • A professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is warm, confident, professional, and dependable. Responsibilities: Job Responsibilities Primary, Kindergarten, and ELM Classroom Teacher The Primary, Kindergarten, and ELM Classroom Teacher will be responsible for leading a classroom with professionalism, consistency, and care while supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students ages 3 and up. Responsibilities include: • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons for Primary, Kindergarten, or Elementary students based on classroom placement and school curriculum expectations. • Maintain a structured, nurturing, and well-prepared classroom environment that supports independence, focus, positive behavior, and student growth. • Monitor student progress through observation, assessments, classroom work, and documentation, while adjusting instruction to meet individual learning needs. • Provide positive behavior guidance and classroom management using respectful, consistent, and developmentally appropriate strategies. • Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress, classroom updates, concerns, and growth moments. • Collaborate with administration, support staff, and fellow teachers to ensure consistency in curriculum, classroom routines, student support, and school expectations. • Follow all school policies, safety procedures, licensing expectations, documentation requirements, and daily classroom routines. • Support a positive school culture by modeling professionalism, teamwork, reliability, and respect for students, families, and staff. • Maintain accurate classroom records, student documentation, lesson plans, and required communication in a timely manner. Qualifications: Primary, Kindergarten, and ELM Classroom Teacher : Required Qualifications • Must be certified through the State of Texas or Montessori certified. • Montessori certification is strongly preferred. • Prior classroom teaching experience is required. • Experience teaching Primary, Kindergarten, or Elementary students is preferred. • Experience with Grades 1–5 is preferred for ELM classroom placement. • Strong classroom management and positive behavior guidance skills. • Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate, and developmentally appropriate lessons. • Strong understanding of child development and the needs of early childhood, Kindergarten, and elementary-aged students. • Excellent parent communication, professional communication, and organizational skills. • Ability to assess student progress and support academic, social, and emotional growth. • Professional, dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a positive classroom environment. • Comfortable communicating with parents and working as part of a team. • Must be able to follow school policies, procedures, curriculum expectations, and classroom routines. • Must have a passion for working with children and supporting student growth. Preferred Qualifications • Montessori certified. • Experience in a private school, Montessori, Reggio-inspired, Primary, Kindergarten, or Elementary classroom setting. • Experience with differentiated instruction and small-group lessons. • Ability to support students with different learning styles, developmental needs, and academic levels. • Strong understanding of classroom structure, prepared environment, and student independence. • Comfortable using technology for classroom communication, documentation, lesson planning, and progress updates. • Experience working closely with parents, administration, and classroom support staff.
