    Job Summary

    This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, CT DEEP–certified technician to continue their career in pest management with a successful, fast‑growing company. At Mosquito Joe, we make outside fun again. We are currently seeking a Full‑Time Lead Field Technician to join our team in the Madison, CT area. This role not only services our residential and commercial territory, but also provides technical guidance, field leadership, and logistical support to the team of technicians at this location.

    The Lead Technician works closely with the Operational Supervisor to support daily field operations by ensuring technicians have accurate route sheets, clear job information, and real‑time support throughout the day. They manage inventory, equipment, and office access so the team is consistently supplied, organized, and able to operate efficiently. They also coordinate maintenance, uphold compliance standards, and handle any administrative or logistical needs required to keep the location running smoothly

    You will also perform mosquito and tick control using a backpack sprayer and treat the exterior of homes and structures for common household pests—no entry into homes or businesses is required. Our treatments rely primarily on natural and organic products.

    An active CT DEEP Certified Operator License and a minimum of 3+ years of professional pest control experience are required for this position.

    Responsibilities: As the Lead Technician, you will support daily field operations and provide on‑site technical support:

    Manage inventory of chemicals, PPE, equipment, and supplies; track usage and reorder levels

    Maintain the office, storage areas, and equipment room in an organized, accessible condition

    Distribute materials, products, and equipment to technicians to ensure they are fully stocked for their routes

    Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, and repairs to keep all field gear in safe working condition

    Assist with onboarding and training of new technicians, including field shadowing and safety instruction

    Communicate operational needs, field issues, and customer concerns to management in a timely manner

    You will also service client's properties for tick and mosquito prevention, home pest prevention, and rodent control and prevention:

    Inspect the interior and exterior of buildings and the surrounding environment for any signs of infestation

    Communicate with customers via text

    Maintain a clean work truck

    Follow all safety regulations pertaining to the equipment used in the service department

    Service clients on site.

    Search for breeding sites and apply pest control products

    Mix and apply pest control products

    Qualifications:

    CT DEEP Pest Control Operators License (Required)

    3+ years of pest control experience

    Valid driver's license and clean driving record

    Basic knowledge of running a backpack sprayer

    Responsible and organized

    Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

    Problem solving skills and the ability to think critically
