Pearl Academy is a 5-star early learning center in Jacksonville serving children ages 2.5–5. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead VPK Teacher to join our team.

This position is responsible for leading a VPK classroom, preparing students for kindergarten, and maintaining a structured, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.

✏️ Responsibilities:

Lead a VPK classroom in alignment with Florida Early Learning Standards

Implement lesson plans that support kindergarten readiness

Maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment

Manage classroom ratios and daily routines

Conduct student assessments and track developmental progress

Communicate professionally with parents (Brightwheel)

Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership team

Ensure compliance with DCF and VPK requirements

✅ Requirements:

VPK credential (Florida Staff Credential or equivalent)

Previous experience as a lead teacher in a preschool or VPK setting

Strong classroom management skills

Knowledge of DCF licensing standards

Reliable, professional, and team-oriented

Passion for early childhood education

🕒 Schedule:

Full-time (Monday–Friday) VPK hours: 9:00 AM – 12:45 PM (plus full-day responsibilities)
