    Job Summary We are looking for a qualified Lead Teacher to prepare small children ages 12 months - 12 years old. This position will provide a foundation for quality early childhood education. A lead teacher must have a great passion, love, and patience for teaching young children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include but are not limited to knowledge of best practices in early childhood. The teacher will create and promote a positive learning environment for all. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate to the next level of the educational journey

    Responsibilities

    Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans

    Develop and infuse a passion for learning through careful and creative curriculum management

    Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, circle time, media, etc.) to teach children

    Observe each child help improve their social competencies and build self-esteem

    Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve the occasional but healthy disagreement

    Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, or colors, do crafts, etc.)

    Supervising children to ensure they are safe at all times

    Track children’s progress and report to parents

    Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and needs

    Collaborate with other educators

    Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards and protocols

    Qualifications

    6 months of verifiable experience as a lead or assistant teacher

    Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and early childhood educational methods

    Familiarity with health and safety standards and protocols

    Excellent communication and instructional skills

    Ability to act as a mediator between children

    Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

    A balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen

    Certification in Child First Aid/CPR

    Valid fingerprint clearance card

    Have dependable transportation and able to be flexible in an hour and classroom assignment

    High school diploma /GED required

    Must be at least 18 years old
