Hillcrest Children's Academy is a faith-based, high-quality preschool at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Austin. We are looking for highly qualified experienced Preschool Teachers who have a passion for Early Education and wants to make a difference in the lives of young children.

    Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing learning environment for young children, with expertise in potty-training, curriculum development, and classroom management. This role involves leading classroom activities, developing engaging lesson plans, and supporting children's social, emotional, and cognitive development in accordance with best practices in early childhood education. The Lead Preschool Teacher will also mentor assistant teachers and collaborate with families to ensure a positive educational experience for every child.

    Job Duties:

    Create lesson plans using Experience Learning Curriculum

    Plan children's learning & skill growth through observation and assessment

    Take responsibility of your specific classroom space to create nurturing and stimulating environment leading to tremendous pride in your accomplishments

    Communicate to parents regularly about their child's progress using our parent App on your classroom iPad,

    Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment

    Make everyday FUN for your kids and yourself!

    Requirements:

    Teach from a Biblical Worldview

    3 years previous experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting

    Knowledge of early childhood development

    CDA earns hourly increased wage

    Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

    Ability to use engaging and interactive lesson plans

    Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children

    Ability to work collaboratively with directors, colleagues, parents

    Skills:

    Behavior management

    Potty Training

    Classroom environment organization

    Proficiency in math concepts for young children

    Creative curriculum uses, adaptive to children's developmental level

    Understanding of childhood development stages

    Ability to interact with other adults in a joyful manner
