The Learning Experience Banning Lewis Ranch | Colorado Springs, CO 80923 Pay Range: $18.00–$22.00 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday | No Weekends
We are seeking an experienced Preschool Teacher / Pre-K Lead (Ages 4–5) to lead a structured, engaging classroom focused on kindergarten readiness. We serve children ages 6 weeks through 6 years and are proud to be a NAC-accredited, Colorado Shines Level 4 Early Education Academy. The Learning Experience (TLE) uses a proprietary, research-based curriculum designed to support the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
This is a full-time leadership role for an educator who is confident managing a classroom, implementing curriculum, and fostering a positive, well-organized learning environment.

What You’ll Do
As a Pre-K Lead Teacher, a part of our Universal Pre-Kindergarten Team, you will:
Lead and manage a classroom of 4–5-year-old children in a structured, nurturing environment
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning experiences
Prepare children for kindergarten by building social, emotional, and academic foundations
Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom culture
Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and development
Communicate regularly and professionally with families
Mentor and support assistant teachers in the classroom
Maintain compliance with Colorado licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience as a preschool or Pre-K teacher (experience with ages 4–5 strongly preferred)
Strong classroom management and leadership skills
Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate practices
Professional communication skills with children, families, and team members
Dependability, punctuality, and commitment to high standards of care
Ability to meet all Colorado licensing requirements, including trainings and certifications
Colorado Shines Professional Development Account (PDIS Credential 3.0 Level 2 or higher)
Must pass all required background checks and health screenings as required by state and licensing authorities
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in physical activity, including sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, and floor interaction with children
Ability to actively engage with children at their level for extended periods of time in a classroom environment
