Under the Magic Pine Tree is excited to expand our program to a new location in Reno, Nevada, and we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead PreK Teacher to guide our Nevada Ready PreK classroom. The Opportunity: As our Lead PreK Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students. This position combines the art of teaching with the science of early childhood development, requiring both skill and passion to ensure every child feels supported and engaged.

What We're Looking For:

Education & Certification: Either have a BA in ECE OR enrolled in college and working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field) OR a minimum rating of 5.2 on the Nevada Registry.

Passion for Early Learning: A genuine love for teaching and supporting young children in their developmental milestones.

Creativity & Collaboration: The ability to design thoughtful, engaging learning experiences and work collaboratively with colleagues and families.

Experience: Knowledge or experience in a PreK classroom and of the Reggio Emilia Approach is preferred but enthusiasm for professional growth is essential.

Responsibilities:

Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with program values and the Nevada Ready PreK framework.

Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where students feel valued and encouraged to learn.

Collaborate effectively with staff, families, and the broader community to support children’s success.

Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.

Build strong relationships with students and families to create a positive and supportive school culture.
