DIRECT HIRE | LEAD CNC PROGRAMMER | Conroe, TX area

Industrial manufacturer is seeking a Lead Programmer to develop and optimize CNC programs for specialized routers and cutting machines.  Create machine-readable formats from 2D/3D drawings using CAD/CAM software, collaborate with production and engineering teams, and ensure efficient, safe operations.

• Anticipate $36-$40/hour, potential for OT
• M-F, 7am-4pm (can be flexible), occasional weekend work as needed

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and optimize CNC programs using AutoCAD, SheetCam, CAMProX, and CAMPlus.
• Program 2-axis (ESAB, KOMO, Onsrud) and 5-axis (Onsrud X Series, Emmegi) machines.
• Translate engineering drawings into machine-readable formats for cutting and routing.
• Troubleshoot machining issues with operators and optimize toolpaths and processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support new designs and prototyping.
• Maintain program version control, safety standards, and CNC file libraries.

Qualifications: 

• Technical certification or Associate’s degree (preferred).
• 2+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SheetCam, CAMProX, and CAMPlus.
• Experience with 2-axis and 5-axis machine programming.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills.
