This is an in-office position Our firm is seeking a highly capable Lead Project Specialist to take ownership of client matters and serve as the central hub of project coordination, substantive work, and client communication. This role blends critical organizational responsibilities with meaningful legal‑support work — you will guide workflow, keep matters moving, and also be hands‑on where it matters most. We are a team‑oriented office that values collaboration and clear processes, and we’re looking for someone who shares that mindset. You must be proactive, able to manage priorities independently, and comfortable both leading the work and doing the work. This is not a managerial title, but it is a role with significant ownership and impact. You will be client‑facing — taking client calls, conducting signing meetings, reviewing work product, and communicating professionally and empathetically. Many clients are navigating difficult situations, so the ability to listen, ask thoughtful follow‑up questions, and put people at ease is critical. Compensation: $24–$28 per hour, depending on experience Responsibilities: • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, including taking client calls • Conduct client signing meetings and legal assistant reviews • Perform substantive legal support work — including paperwork, draft review, editing, and preparation of client‑facing documents • Review and assist with the preparation of forms, correspondence, and legal documents in coordination with attorneys and paralegals • Guide attorneys, paralegals, and assistants to keep projects, deadlines, and priorities on track — deciding when to delegate and when to act hands‑on • Manage timelines, follow‑ups, and next steps on matters to ensure nothing falls through the cracks • Track progress and maintain accurate matter records in firm systems • Identify issues early and take action to keep work progressing smoothly Qualifications: • Detailed resume of work experience • Business attire • Must be able to lift 25 pounds from the floor to overhead • Must have a valid driver's license and driving insurance coverage • Notary Public license (or ability to obtain one) • Prior experience in a professional, client‑facing role with responsibility for coordination or substantive task ownership • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong attention to detail, follow‑through, and accountability • Comfortable both delegating appropriately and doing hands‑on work as needed • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly Experience in legal, financial, healthcare, or other professional environments where documents, deadlines, and client communication are central is preferred but not required. Compensation: $24 – $28 per hour, depending on experience
