    Lead SPD Tech –


    Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Administrator / Clinician Director, coordinates and oversees the daily activities between the Operating Room (OR), schedule and Sterile Processing Department (SPD) to ensure efficient case flow and needs.

    · Supervise the Sterile Processing Department Staff

    · Clinical resource for perioperative services staff members using evidence-based knowledge and prevailing standards

    · Evaluate current practice through quality and performance improvement measures

    · Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills with members of the perioperative team and other stakeholders

    · Coordinates, facilitates, and manages change with in the health care organization

    · Ensure that the appropriate personnel, equipment, and supplies are available to run the SPD department effectively

    · Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care

    · Serve as role model of professional behavior

    · Assess the political climate within the organization

    · Pursue professional growth and participate in a professional organization

    Hourly Range: $24.00 - $40.00/hour

    Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications

    · High School Diploma/GED

    · CPR required

    · Graduate of a Sterile Processing Program

    · 2 years of experience in a multi-specialty operating room environment to include knowledge of sterile processing operations and issues

    · Knowledge of medical instruments and surgical procedures as related to the OR

    · Knowledge of the proper set up of an operating room
