Position Overview:
As a Lead Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing responsive and loving care to our infants and Preschoolers. Your role involves creating a secure and stimulating environment where infants can explore, learn, and form strong attachments.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support infants' cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
Provide responsive and loving care to meet each infant's individual needs, including feeding, diapering, and nap routines.
Create a warm and secure environment that fosters trust and attachment between infants and caregivers.
Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing daily updates on their child's activities and well-being.
Ensure a safe and hygienic classroom, adhering to all health and safety guidelines and center policies.
Work collaboratively with other staff members, including assistant teachers, to maintain a consistent and nurturing environment.
Document infants' developmental milestones and assessments.
Support parents in the transition from home to daycare and provide guidance on infant care practices.
Attend professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in infant care.
Qualifications:
A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
Proven experience working with infants in a daycare or similar setting.
Strong knowledge of infant development and attachment theory.
Exceptional communication skills, both with infants and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for nurturing and caring for infants.
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
