About the Role:

The Learning Experience #175 in East Rutherford, NJ is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead Teacher to guide our toddler classroom! In this rewarding role, you'll help shape the early development of young learners in a fun, safe, and stimulating environment. Responsibilities:

Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans for toddlers

Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports early childhood development

Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones and progress

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth and daily activities

Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides

Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare safety standards

Incorporate social-emotional learning, language development, and sensory play into daily routines

Requirements:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or early education setting

Knowledge of toddler developmental stages and best practices in early childhood education

Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Ability to meet New Jersey state childcare licensing requirements

Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine passion for working with young children
