Lead Reconstruction Technician - Restoration (Water | Fire | Mold)

Compensation & Earning Potential:
Hourly range: $25 - $30 *May be adjusted for candidates with advanced skill sets and leadership experience
Compensation based on experience, trade proficiency, and overall qualifications.
Overtime, on-call rotation, storm deployment, and extended-hour assignments significantly increase total earnings

Position Summary:
DRYCOR is seeking an experienced Lead RECON Technician to manage and perform reconstruction work on large-scale residential and commercial losses.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing field operations while actively producing work.
Core Trade Expertise:
Advanced carpentry and structural repairs
Drywall systems, interior/exterior painting, flooring installation
Kitchen and bathroom reconstruction
Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
Restoration or insurance-driven construction experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and perform demolition, structural repair, and reconstruction
Lead crews and subcontractors to meet safety and quality standards
Coordinate materials, scheduling, and daily job-site operations
Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols
Support emergency response and storm deployment
Collaborate with Project Managers & client to maintain timelines and client satisfaction
Required Skills & Experience:
5 - 10 years of residential and commercial remodeling experience
Strong understanding of project sequencing, production flow, and multi-site management
Ability to read plans and interpret scopes (Xactimate preferred)
Deep knowledge of building codes and construction best practices
High attention to detail; finish quality must meet professional standards
Restoration experience (water, fire, mold) strongly preferred
Strong leadership and job-site organization skills
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required (trade certifications or IICRC credentials preferred)
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication)
Reliable transportation and ability to work 40–50+ hours per week
Physically able to lift 75–100 lbs, climb ladders up to 40’, and work in confined or elevated spaces
Comfortable working in environments impacted by fire, water, mold, or storm damage
