Lead Technician / Water Damage Specialist (Combined Role)

IAQ Experts is currently seeking an experienced Lead Technician with strong water damage restoration expertise to join our growing team. This is a dual-role position requiring leadership in the field, technical skill in HVAC/indoor air quality services, and hands-on experience in water mitigation and restoration.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate will function as both a Lead Technician and Water Damage Specialist, responsible for overseeing job sites, performing technical work, and ensuring all services meet IAQ Experts’ standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.

This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage both crew members and job execution from start to finish.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage field technicians on assigned jobs

Perform water damage mitigation, extraction, drying, and documentation

Conduct mold-related and indoor air quality services as needed

Ensure proper setup of containment, equipment, and jobsite protocols

Maintain compliance with industry standards (IICRC/NADCA where applicable)

Communicate job progress with office and management

Complete accurate job documentation and reports

Ensure customer satisfaction and professional service delivery

Train and guide junior technicians in the field

REQUIREMENTS

Prior experience in water damage restoration (required)

Experience as a lead technician or crew leader (preferred)

Knowledge of mold remediation and/or HVAC/duct cleaning a plus

Strong work ethic and ability to manage field operations

Ability to lift equipment and work in physically demanding environments

Valid driver’s license

Reliable and punctual
