    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Veterinary Technician to join our passionate veterinary team. In this vital role, you will oversee daily clinical operations, mentor and support veterinary technicians and support staff, and ensure the delivery of exceptional animal care. Your leadership will help maintain a high standard of veterinary practice, promote team collaboration, and enhance client satisfaction.     Duties

    Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations

    Assist in developing and implementing protocols for animal handling, restraint, and care procedures

    Assist veterinarians in surgical preparation, procedures, and aftercare

    Provide advanced technical support including animal catheterization, laboratory testing, X-ray imaging, and aseptic techniques

    Oversee dental procedures, including understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet grooming and pet care routines

    Ensure proper animal husbandry practices are followed to promote health and well-being across all species treated

    Train team members on veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and specialized skills

    Maintain accurate medical records, laboratory logs, radiographs, and treatment documentation in compliance with clinic standards

    Maintain and handle pharmaceutical inventory with the supervision of veterinarians

    Skills

    Extensive kennel experience combined with animal handling expertise across various species including dogs, cats, and small mammals

    Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices

    Proficiency in laboratory techniques, X-ray procedures, aseptic techniques, and pet grooming methods

    Skilled in animal restraint techniques for safe examination and treatment procedures

    Ability to train staff on techniques, pet care routines, and proper use of veterinary equipment

    Excellent communication skills to collaborate with veterinarians, clients, and team members effectively

    Leadership qualities with a focus on mentorship, problem-solving, and maintaining a positive work environment
