    About the Role

Team Stealth is seeking a Lead Web Developer to lead the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise web platforms that power key federal digital modernization programs. The role blends hands-on development, technical leadership, and DevSecOps implementation to ensure scalable, secure, and accessible solutions that align with U.S. Government standards.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in full-stack web development, cloud environments, and content management systems, along with a passion for mentoring teams and driving modernization initiatives.

Clearance Requirement: Public Trust eligible (existing clearance preferred)

    Key Responsibilities

Lead full-stack web development using Drupal 10, React/Angular, and Python-based microservices across multiple Stealth client programs.

Drive modernization initiatives, including CMS upgrades, headless architecture implementation, and API integration.

Develop, review, and deploy secure, maintainable, and scalable code through automated CI/CD pipelines.

Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility and federal cybersecurity standards.

Collaborate with solution architects, UX designers, and product owners to deliver technical solutions aligned with client missions.

Mentor and guide junior developers to uphold Stealth’s standards for repeatable delivery excellence.

Optimize application performance, caching, and data processing for improved scalability and uptime.

Support DevSecOps practices for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring across multiple environments.

Document architectures, reusable frameworks, and processes that strengthen Stealth’s internal delivery accelerators.

Partner with program leadership to identify and implement continuous improvement and modernization opportunities.

    Technical Stack and Platform Expertise

The Lead Web Developer will oversee, enhance, and expand Stealth’s enterprise web ecosystem built on a modular, secure, and cloud-native architecture. The following technologies represent the core components and required areas of expertise:

Frontend Layer: Experience leading development using modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue) for responsive, accessible, and reusable UI components optimized for federal web standards.

Backend Services: Proficiency in Python-based microservices, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, managing integrations, authentication, and workflow automation between systems.

Content Management: Advanced expertise in Drupal 10 (and prior versions), including custom module development, theming, and content governance. Experience deploying on FedRAMP-authorized platforms such as Acquia Cloud or AWS GovCloud.

Data & Integration Layer: Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch for structured data, indexing, and search. Experience designing secure API gateways and asynchronous integration using message queues (e.g., AWS SQS).

Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of Zero Trust, encryption (in-transit and at-rest), and role-based access control. Experience aligning with U.S. Government cybersecurity and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

DevSecOps Pipeline: Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and containerized deployments using Docker/Kubernetes. Ability to implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and ensure consistent, secure deployments across environments.

    Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

8+ years of progressive full-stack web development experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role.

Deep hands-on experience with Drupal (8/9/10) architecture, module customization, and integration.

Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and backend technologies (Python, PHP, Node.js).

Experience deploying applications in AWS GovCloud or Acquia Cloud environments with Docker/Kubernetes.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and automated testing frameworks.

Knowledge of FedRAMP, Zero Trust, and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance standards.

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth2/SAML, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills in Agile or hybrid SDLC environments.

    Preferred Skills

Experience with ElasticSearch, GraphQL, and API Gateway management.

Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

Exposure to headless CMS and multi-site Drupal implementations.

Experience with federal government digital platforms and compliance frameworks.

Flexible work from home options available.
