Lead Welder

Location: York, PA 17404

Pay: $25-30/hr (depending on experience)

Shift: 1st

• Mon-Thu (5:30am to 3:30pm)
• Friday OT (5:30am to 10:30am) Optional

Description:

• Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a Lead Welder for a high volume metal fabrication facility located in York, PA. Candidate will be responsible for weld preparation, welding and weld finishing on various gauges of metal according to mechanical drawings, specifications or other forms of instruction

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with Welding and Fabrication
• MIG Welding experience on steel and aluminum is required.  TIG experience is a plus.
• Ability to work off of Mechanical Drawings and Specifications
• Leadership/Supervisory experience
• Ability to communicate with the team and Plant Manager

Job Functions:

• Interpret drawings and specifications, including weld requirement symbology
• Perform light and heavy arc and gas welding on items such as frames, racks, metal casings, trucks, skids, low pressure tanks, welding and brazing of dies, etc. using welding machines and acetylene welding equipment
• Perform grinding operations using manual and power tools
• Maintain welding equipment through regular welding equipment maintenance
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to understand drawings and specifications
• Knowledge and experience working with various welding and finishing equipment
• Ability to work with a wide range of gauges of metal
• Work in cooperation with other welders and team members
